Pitch Overview

This client is the world leader in international health & security risk management. With a suite of digital products and an extensive global network of emergency resources to help enterprise clients keep their well-traveled employees safe and alive.

Being the best for so long has put them in a difficult situation. Being a pioneer of their time, they had no competition for decades in the digital age. Now they are losing customers to newer, well-designed competitors with less international support resources.

This client stands at a critical juncture in their product stack reconstruction, poised for transformative opportunities. With the potential to forge connections among their products, the organization is well-positioned to surpass competitors by delivering seamless and interconnected experiences that address essential user needs.

The Art of the Pitch

This project is still in the early stages of planning.

The content here comes from a series of pitches I spearheaded as part of my product strategy and vision for seamlessly connecting devices across desktop experiences, mobile phones, and wearable technologies to give security management professionals accurate data regarding employee safety within International SOS products across the globe.

The Scenario 

Anna and John work within a Fortune 500 company and are preparing a business trip for John to Mexico. This company trusts International SOS for its reputable emergency response services and their reach across the globe. 

Meet the Users

Anna, the HR security professional, needs to make sure John, the consultant, has all the proper documentation to enter and leave the country and make sure his trip aligns with compliance and policies.

John needs to be aware of what he needs to do to prepare for travel without feeling the need to bother Anna for every detail. He also wants to understand the risks going to Mexico so he feels prepared.

Onboarding

It’s John’s first time traveling for the company so Anna needs to onboard John into the process.

She leans on International SOS to help onboard all employees that will be traveling, which greatly frees up her time to do other tasks for her role.

All Anna has to do is send John an invitation from the Monitor portal to begin setting up his profile and download the app to his cell phone.

Then the app manages all of John’s tasks and let’s Anna know where he’s at in the process and when she needs to finalize the trip planning.

Integrations

Once John has setup his account with International SOS and downloaded the app, he can then start to integrate other applications into his profile.

John is using an iOS device so the app asks to integrate with the iOS HealthKit’s existing data to help if he’s in a medical emergency.

John also has an Apple Watch and can have additional support features installed on his device such as heart monitoring and location check-in reminders.

John’s calendar can sync to the app for his travel dates, this way John doesn’t have to update his itinerary in more than one place and SOS is always up to date.

John has already arranged his flights, so instead of manually entering in his information, he can upload a screenshot of his travel information.
